They will be the ones that fundamentally rewire how they operate to create value at speed and scale.<\/p>\n<p>I believe they\u2019re right.<\/p>\n<p>But I also believe the conversation is missing one critical piece.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What happens when the business evolves faster than its brand?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over nearly three decades of working with technology, cybersecurity, and homeland security companies, I\u2019ve seen organizations reinvent their products, enter new markets, embrace new technologies, and completely transform the way they operate.<\/p>\n<p>Yet one thing often remains surprisingly unchanged: the brand.<\/p>\n<p>While the business evolves, the brand is frequently treated as a finished asset\u2014a logo, a website, a messaging framework, or a brand book\u2014rather than a living business system.<\/p>\n<p>That approach may have worked when change happened every few years.<\/p>\n<p>It won\u2019t work in the AI era.<\/p>\n<p>Today, companies don\u2019t just launch new products faster. They rethink business models, automate customer experiences, introduce AI-powered services, and redefine their value proposition at a pace we\u2019ve never seen before.<\/p>\n<p>The challenge isn\u2019t keeping up with technology.<\/p>\n<p>The challenge is ensuring that the brand evolves at the same pace as the business.<\/p>\n<p>Because in the years ahead, competitive advantage won\u2019t belong only to companies that move faster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It will belong to brands that move with them.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what I call\u00a0<strong>Brands in Motion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Not brands that constantly reinvent themselves.<\/p>\n<p>But brands that preserve a strong core identity while continuously adapting how that identity is expressed, experienced, and understood as the business evolves.<\/p>\n<p>In the AI era, that may become one of the most important strategic capabilities a company can build.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last month, McKinsey &amp; Company published\u00a0The AI Transformation Manifesto, arguing that the companies that will lead in the AI era won\u2019t simply be the ones that adopt AI first.
